Salt Rock

Salt Rock is a delightful coastal town situated just north of Shaka’s Rock and Ballito. The popular main beach at Salt Rock is manned by professional lifeguards 7 days a week and is popular with bathers and surfers.

This section of the North Coast abounds with lovely tidal pools and Salt Rock is no exception, with a large tidal pool located at the main beach. This tidal pool was originally built for guests staying at the popular Salt Rock Hotel.

Like most other beachside towns and villages up and down the North Coast, Salt Rock is also popular with rock and surf anglers as there are some great fishing spots to be found in the area.
